Leaving Convention and Aquatic & Scuba Club Dive-In Movie

Today was the day I left Convention at Seven Springs, PA. I was no longer a Student Intern and it was time to say good bye to all the amazing professionals I had met these past 3 day. Started off the day at 6:30am and packed up all my belongings. The other student interns and I headed down to breakfast around 7:30am and enjoyed our last meal at the resort. We said our good byes to the people we saw and hoped to stay in-touch with one another. We then checked-out of the hotel and hit the road by 9:00am. Luckily the drive went very smooth and we made it back to Slippery Rock by 11:30am. At 12:30pm I had a Dive-in Movie to attend for the Aquatic & Scuba Club. We turn off all the lights in the pool and we only leave the underwater lights on. The children all seem to have fun and like to swim while watching a movie. We had 30 children come to swim with their guardian! We did a lesson on water safety before playing the movie FROZEN!  Everything went very smooth and I can't wait till we have more next semester. At 3:30pm I went back to my place, unpacked and took a quick nap for about an hour. At 5:00pm I started doing homework and it looks like I'll be doing that the rest of the night...why is everything due at once! I hope tomorrows tests go well :)

After the silent auction I took down the Exhibit Hall and helped people pack up their items into their car. At 3:00pm I went into the gift shop and bought a few souvenirs before going to another session. At the 3:30pm session I went to recognizing and preventing suicide. Afterwards I went to the Slippery Rock bus and helped load all the equipment that had been used for the F.I.T Club work-out. At 5:15pm I went and set-up the Grand Ballroom for the awards banquet tonight. At 6:45pm, I showed people to their seat for the awards banquet and conversed with the professionals in the field. At 9:30pm I went down to the cafe and conversed with my peers and my Co-Op for my field experience at Slippery Rock Area Elementary. Afterwards I returned to my hotel room and reflected about how amazing my day had been. I'm honored to have been given the opportunity to be a Student Intern and have learned many new things at Convention this year. We leave tomorrow and I can't believe it's already over.

The social consisted of Electing a new Vice-President for the board as well as conversing with your peers. The rest of my night has been relaxing with professors, peers, and other professionals within the Physical and Health Education aspect. This second day has been smooth and fantastic! I can't wait for tomorrow and I hope it goes just as well.
