Day 3 of Convention!

Third day of being a Student Intern for Convention in Seven Springs, PA. Started off the day at 7:30am and went and had a delicious breakfast. At 8:00am I went to worked at the Registration table for an hour. At the 9:00am session I presided for Creating QR Codes in the Weight Room. At the10:30am session I presided for SHAPE America. At noon I was able to grab and eat a great lunch. At 1:00pm I helped with the silent auction with closing off the bids. After the silent auction I took down the Exhibit Hall and helped people pack up their items into their car. At 3:00pm I went into the gift shop and bought a few souvenirs before going to another session. At the 3:30pm session I went to recognizing and preventing suicide. Afterwards I went to the Slippery Rock bus and helped load all the equipment that had been used for the F.I.T Club work-out. At 5:15pm I went and set-up the Grand Ballroom for the awards banquet tonight. At 6:45pm, I showed people to their seat for the awards banquet and conversed with the professionals in the field. At 7:30pm I was allowed to take my seat and enjoy the food and awards banquet. At 9:30pm I went down to the cafe and conversed with my peers and my Co-Op for my field experience at Slippery Rock Area Elementary. Afterwards I returned to my hotel room and reflected about how amazing my day had been. I'm honored to have been given the opportunity to be a Student Intern and have learned many new things at Convention this year. We leave tomorrow and I can't believe it's already over.

  1. I am glad we all had a good time at convention and all got back safely. Sounds like you enjoyed the third day as much as I did. The banquet was a blast and I know we all enjoyed the breakfasts at Seven Springs. It was a great time and a great experience. It was a rewarding experience for everyone who was able to attend.

  2. Shaina, I'm so glad we all got to spend this weekend together at convention. It was so much fun and a great learning experience. We met lots of people that will hopefully help us get jobs soon. The F.I.T. Club workout went so well!!! Ms. Bolluck was certainly excited to see you, she talked your ear off for a long time. Even if we miss next years convention because of Ireland, I'm sure we'll be attending many more together.
